Who We Are, What We Do

The Minnesota Facilitators Network is a community of practice to explore, deepen and broaden the field of facilitation.

Facilitators use methods, techniques and processes to enhance the capability of a group to recognize the richness of its forum, to rely on the wisdom of its experiences, and to trust its ability to make right choices.

Who are those facilitators? Some have chosen to make the practice of facilitation a profession. But anyone who supports a group in reaching its objective — managers, team leaders, OD consultants, coaches, educators, and spiritual leaders — can create results by using facilitation methodologies.

One hallmark of a learning organization is its ability to adapt to shifting circumstances. Facilitators, no matter who and where they are, can play a key role as change agents in that process.
